Notify your current service.

When you’re ready to proceed, you’ll need to notify your current fostering agency or local authority in writing. If a child is currently placed with you, their placing authority will also need to be involved. We’ll explain what is required and support you through this stage.

3.

Transfer assessment.

We’ll review your fostering experience, complete the necessary checks and work with your current service to gather relevant information. Our aim is to make the assessment thorough and straightforward while avoiding unnecessary duplication.

Panel and approval.

Once your assessment is complete, you’ll attend Faith’s fostering panel. The panel will make a recommendation, and the agency decision maker will make the final approval decision. We’ll work with your current service to coordinate the final stages of your transfer carefully.
