I am the Office Manager at Faith Fostering with a strong background in fostering, social care, and community support services. Over the course of my career, I have developed extensive administrative, organisational, and operational experience, supporting fostering teams, foster carers, children and young people, and wider social care professionals.
For the past nine years, I worked within fostering services as an Administrator, Support Worker, and Participation Officer. During this time, I provided comprehensive administrative support, coordinated meetings, training, and events, and played a key role in promoting the voice and participation of children and young people in care. Prior to this, I spent five years as a Fostering Advisor, guiding prospective foster carers through the early stages of their fostering journey and supporting them as they progressed towards assessment. I conducted initial home visits, prepared enquiry reports, supported marketing and recruitment activities, and worked closely with regional teams across the UK to help ensure a positive experience for prospective foster carers.
A significant part of my experience includes over eight years of minute-taking for fostering panels, producing accurate, detailed, and professional records to support effective decision-making and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Earlier in my career, I worked as a Care Worker within the community, supporting vulnerable adults in their own homes with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safeguarding and wellbeing needs were met.
Throughout my career, I have built strong communication and relationship-management skills, enabling me to work effectively with colleagues, professionals, foster carers, and service users. I pride myself on being approachable, reliable, and solution-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities in busy environments while maintaining high standards of professionalism and efficiency.
I enjoy working within fostering and social care services because I value being part of organisations that make a meaningful difference to the lives of vulnerable children, young people, and adults. I am passionate about providing high-quality administrative and operational support that helps services run effectively and ensures those accessing support receive the best possible outcomes.
